2024 PODES DATA COLLECTION TRAINING BPS TANGERANG CITY

Tangerang City BPS is holding training for Potential Data (Podes) data collection officers starting April 24-26 2024. Podes data collection will be held simultaneously throughout Indonesia on May 2-31 2024. For the administrative area of Tangerang City itself, it involves 20 officers, who consisting of 5 PML (Field Inspection Officers) and 20 PPL (Field Data Collection Officers). Podes is the only complete data collection at village/kelurahan level carried out by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS).

As an official statistics provider, BPS continues to improve and adapt so that it always produces quality data. Improvements cover the entire statistical work process, starting from instruments, methodology, field organization, to field mechanisms, one of which is realized through holding training for Podes 2024 data collection officers.

The data from the 2024 Podes data collection is able to describe the potential of a region at the village/sub-district, sub-district and district/city levels throughout Indonesia. Apart from that, the results of the 2024 Podes data collection will be used to prepare data collection for the 2026 Economic Census. Later, it is hoped that the Podes data can be used by various parties in line with the needs for regional data and information down to the smallest units which are increasingly diverse and urgent in line with current developments.
