Abstract

Banten's economy based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) based on the prevailing price for the first quarter of 2021 reached Rp. 162.34 trillion and at constant 2010 prices it reached Rp. 113.76 trillion.

The economy of Banten in the first quarter of 2021 against the fourth quarter of 2020 grew by 0.78 percent (q-to-q). From the production side, the highest growth was achieved by the agriculture, forestry and fisheries business fields amounting to 8.40 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the highest growth was achieved by the component of Total Net Exports amounting to 32.60 percent.

The economy of Banten in the first quarter of 2021 against the first quarter of 2020 still experienced a contraction of 0.39 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, the deepest negative growth occurred in Transportation and Warehousing with the amount of -22.93 percent. In terms of expenditure, the components of LNPRT Consumption Expenditure and Household Consumption contracted by -11.96 percent and -1.69 percent respectively.

The economic structure of the provinces in Java in the first quarter of 2021 was still dominated by the DKI Jakarta Province which contributed 30.07 percent to the Gross Regional Domestic Product in Java, followed by East Java Province at 24.62 percent, West Java Province at 24.62 percent. 22.46 percent. Meanwhile, Banten Province contributed 6.80 percent.
