Abstract

A. Export Development

  • Banten's export value in August 2021 rose 8.92 percent compared to July 2021, from the previous US$1,117.66 million to US$1,217.36 million.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in August 2021 increased by 8.82 percent to US$1,216.02 million compared to the previous month.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export value in August 2021 came from the footwear category (HS 64), which reached US$229.46 million.
  • The largest non-oil and gas export destination country in August 2021 is the United States with an export value of US$205.38 million.
  • Non-oil and gas exports in August 2021 experienced a decline in the agricultural sector, but in the industrial sector as well as the mining and other sectors experienced an increase compared to the previous month.
  • The highest export value of Banten in August 2021 was through the Tanjung Priok Port, which reached US$982.49 million.

B. Import Development

  • Banten's import value in August 2021 fell 10.08 percent compared to the previous month, from US$1,328.18 million to US$1,194.36 million.
  • Oil and gas imports in August 2021 fell 24.34 percent from US$547.35 million in the previous month to US$414.11 million. In non-oil and gas commodities, the import value decreased by 0.08 percent to US$780.25 million, compared to the previous month's US$780.83 million.
  • The largest non-oil and gas import value in August 2021 came from the organic chemical group (HS 29) which reached US$238.08 million.
  • The largest supplier of non-oil and gas imported goods in August 2021 was India with an import value of US$119.82 million.
  • The value of imports by category of use of goods in August 2021 compared to the previous month experienced a decline in the raw/auxiliary materials and consumption goods category, as well as in the capital goods category, the value of imports decreased.
  • Judging from the port of unloading, the largest import value for August 2021 came from Merak Port which reached US$551.55 million.
