Abstract

The percentage of poor people in Banten Province in September 2021 was 6.50 percent, decreased by 0.16 percentage points compared to March 2021 and also decreased by 0.13 percentage points compared to September 2020.

The number of poor people in September 2021 was 852.28 thousand people, a decrease of 15.00 thousand people compared to March 2021 and a decrease of 5.36 thousand people compared to September 2020.

The percentage of urban poor people in March 2021 was 5.93 percent, rising to 6.04 percent in September 2021. Meanwhile, the percentage of rural poor people in March 2021 was 8.49 percent, falling to 7.72 percent in September 2021.

Compared to March 2021, the number of poor urban residents in September 2021 increased by 23.7 thousand people (from 552.96 thousand people in March 2021 to 576.62 thousand people in September 2021). Meanwhile, in the same period the number of poor rural residents fell by 38.6 thousand people (from 314.27 thousand people in March 2021 to 275.66 thousand people in September 2021).

The Poverty Line in September 2021 was recorded at IDR 547,483,-/capita/month with a composition of the Food Poverty Line of IDR 395,258,- (72.20 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of IDR 152,225,- (27.80 percent) .

In September 2021, on average poor households in Banten had 4.89 household members. Thus, the Poverty Line per poor household on average is IDR 2,677,192/poor household/month.
