Abstract

A. Export Development

Banten's export value in December 2021 fell 2.94 percent compared to November 2021, from the previous US$1.33 billion to US$1.29 billion.
Non-oil and gas exports in December 2021 decreased by 2.87 percent to US$1.29 billion compared to the previous month.
The largest non-oil and gas export value in December 2021 came from the footwear category (HS 64), which reached US$254.16 million.
The largest non-oil and gas export destination country in December 2021 was the United States with an export value of US$223.52 million.
Non-oil and gas exports in December 2021 experienced an increase in the agricultural sector, while the industrial sector, as well as the mining and other sectors decreased compared to the previous month.
The highest export value of Banten in December 2021 was through the Tanjung Priok Port which reached US$1.03 billion.

B. Import Development

Banten's import value in December 2021 fell by 1.93 percent compared to the previous month, from US$1.55 billion to US$1.52 billion.
Oil and gas imports in December 2021 fell 23.01 percent from US$771.97 million in the previous month to US$594.35 million. Meanwhile, for non-oil and gas commodities, the import value increased by 18.87 percent to US$929.87 million compared to the previous month.
The largest non-oil and gas import value in December 2021 came from the organic chemical group (HS 29) which reached US$316.18 million.
The largest supplier of non-oil and gas imported goods in December 2021 was Australia with an import value of US$162.89 million.
The import value by category of use of goods in December 2021 compared to the previous month experienced an increase in the consumption goods category, while the decline in import value occurred in raw/auxiliary materials and capital goods.
Judging from the port of unloading, the largest import value for December 2021 came from Merak Port which reached US$777.09 million.
