Abstract

  • Banten's economy in 2021 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices will reach Rp. 665.92 trillion and GRDP per capita of Rp. 55.21 million or US$ 3,858.51.
  • Banten's economy in 2021 grew 4.44 percent compared to 2020. From the production side, the highest growth occurred in the Electricity and Gas Procurement business field which reached 12.76 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the Total Net Export Component experienced the highest growth of 33.28 percent.
  • Banten's economy in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the fourth quarter of 2020 grew 5.19 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the Mining and Quarrying business field experienced the highest growth of 18.65 percent. In terms of expenditure, the Total Net Export component experienced the highest growth of 46.79 percent.
  • Banten's economy in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the third quarter of 2021 experienced a growth of 3.68 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Transportation and Warehousing business field which reached 26.89 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was owned by the Government Consumption Component of 20.89 percent.
  • The economic structure of the provinces in Java in 2021 will still be dominated by DKI Jakarta, which contributes to the GRDP for the entire island of Java by 29.70 percent. Then followed by East Java and West Java with contributions reaching 25.01 percent and 22.51 percent. Meanwhile, Banten Province contributed 6.78 percent.
