Abstract

In March 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Banten Province will be 3.42 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.17. The highest inflation occurred in Tangerang City at 3.62 percent with a CPI of 105.97 and the lowest occurred in Cilegon City at 2.91 percent with a CPI of 106.16.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 7.39 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.09 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.42 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.98 percent; health group by 1.25 percent; transportation group by 1.40 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.30 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.01 percent; education group at 0.78 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 3.87 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 3.24 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate for Banten Province in March 2024 is 0.98 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate is 1.46 percent.
