Abstract

The issue of poverty is one of the fundamental problems that is of major concern to the world. The reduction in poverty level has become one of the targets in achieving the development of the 3rd millennium, better known as the Millennum Development Goal (MDGs) and then continued by SDGs. All important aspects to support various types of poverty reduction strategies and programs must be prepared and available, including the availability of poverty data. The availability of accurate, comprehensive and sustainable poverty data is an important instrument for policy makers in focusing attention on the living conditions of the poor. Good poverty data can be reliable information that is useful for evaluating government policies in alleviating poverty while at the same time determining targets for reducing poverty with the aim of improving their welfare.
