Abstract

In May 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Tangerang City will be 2.95 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.94.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in all expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.8 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.45 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.27 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 2.94 percent; health group at 0.83 percent; transportation group by 1.02 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.48 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.94 percent; education group by 0.7 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 5.67 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 5.51 percent.
