Abstract

In November 2021 there was inflation of 0.19 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.88. The three CPI cities in Banten Province experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Cilegon City at 0.30 percent with a CPI of 108.71. This was followed by Tangerang at 0.17 percent with a CPI of 106.21. Followed by Serang city by 0.18 percent with a CPI of 109.02.
Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index of 10 expenditure groups, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.59 percent; personal care and other services group by 0.24 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.06 percent; transportation group by 0.04 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.04 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.03 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.03 percent; recreation, sports, and culture groups by 0.02 percent; education group by 0.02 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group by 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the group that experienced a decline in the index was the health group by 0.02 percent.
Calendar year inflation (January-November) 2021 is 1.21 percent, and year-on-year inflation (November 2021 to November 2020) is 1.43 percent.
